ABOUT ME

I am 53 years old and I am starting my business selling my art work. I live in Leduc, Alberta with my husband of 32 years. We have 3 grown children, 3 grandchildren and 2 bonus grandchildren...so far. I suffer from fibromyalgia and have worked a desk job most of my life, finding it difficult to sit for 8 hours a day I decided to try something else. Taking some time off work I  am currently working on showcasing and selling some of my work.

I have been passionate about my art since being taught by an amazing art teacher!  She gave me the love of creating. I have tried painting, drawing, and even pen and ink and I really like them all! I have a special connection to painting because of all the colors. I feel like I see the world through color and light.  Every time I look at the sky it is like looking at a painting I can't wait to try and create.

Raising my family kept us busy for quite a few years! With running to hockey games, parent teacher conferences and working full time there was not much time left to paint.  But as the kids got older I was able to find some time here and there.  We went through some very challenging times in our lives (as most people do).  I used my painting as a type of therapy.  It was a way for me to express myself though color and shadows when I was not always able to do the same thing in my life.
